Architects Ignacio de la Vega and Pilar Cano-Lasso conceived Tini Living approximately five years ago, giving rise to a prefab venture committed to transparency. Presenting five distinct models of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), the duo sought to offer clients a clear understanding of costs and timelines right from the initial consultation. According to de la Vega, the goal was to craft something both simple and elegant while ensuring clients were well-informed about the financial investment and construction schedule from the outset. What sets Tini Living’s ADUs apart is their remarkable completion time of just 100 days.
Tini Living caters to the diverse needs of its clientele by providing a comprehensive selection of standalone prefab modules, including the popular Tini XS – a compact version designed for two individuals with a starting price of $38,000. Encompassing 180 square feet, the Tini XS includes a kitchen, bed frame, full bathroom, and a hot and cold air pump.
The process begins with a design phase where clients can personalize and make minor adjustments to their chosen module. Following the finalization of plans, Tini Living aims to complete ADU construction within 150 days, with delivery occurring within an additional 30 days. This streamlined timeline, markedly shorter than traditional home construction, is intended to provide clients with flexibility and alleviate economic burdens.
Maintaining a commitment to transparency, Tini Living offers clients detailed information through a unique customization tool that enables alterations to suit individual needs. Collaborating with local architecture and engineering firms, the company ensures a seamless process, and a third-party partnership guarantees compliance with local regulations at the construction site. Tini Living’s approach not only emphasizes design and efficiency but also aims to redefine the client experience in the realm of prefab housing.
