Barcelona, Spain – At this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, HONOR has unveiled a lineup of cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, headlined by the global debut of their HONOR Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone and Magic6 RSR smartphone, both crafted in collaboration with Porsche Design.
Teaming up with Porsche Design, HONOR has ingeniously incorporated elements reminiscent of the iconic 911 sports car model into the design of the Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone. The device features an engraved iteration of the 911 sports car hood on its backside, marked by a striking singular jutted line positioned centrally. Making its global premiere at MWC 2024, this marks the first foldable smartphone from Porsche Design, while HONOR also tantalizes with a sneak peek of its smartphone counterpart, the Magic6 RSR.
Continuing their partnership with Porsche Design, the Magic6 RSR smartphone embodies the sleek aesthetic of a Porsche race car, complete with a centered camera unit seamlessly integrated within the geometric and motorsport-inspired design. This teaser release follows a suite of other AI-powered innovations unveiled by HONOR at MWC 2024, including the Magic6 Pro smartphone, boasting intuitive user behavior learning capabilities, an eye-tracking AI system suitable for automotive applications, an advanced camera setup ideal for sports photography enthusiasts, and drop-resistant screen glass technology aimed at minimizing damage from accidental falls.
Exploring Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR
The Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone sets a new standard for sleekness, measuring as thin as a pencil when folded, earning it the accolade of being the thinnest inward foldable smartphone available. Constructed with aerospace-grade titanium alloy for its hinge mechanism, the Magic V2 RSR has undergone rigorous testing, surpassing 100 folds and unfoldings without compromise. Embodying the spirit of a sports car, HONOR and Porsche Design have chosen Agate Grey as the flagship color, a hue synonymous with Porsche’s illustrious lineup including the 911, Boxster, Cayman, Macan, and Panamera models.
Equipped with a powerful three-camera setup comprising a 50MP Main Camera, a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 20MP Telephoto Camera, users can capture stunning videos and photos enhanced by AI motion sensing capture technology. Leveraging an AI network trained on an extensive dataset of over 270,000 images, the device intelligently corrects blurry shots by seamlessly filling in missing details and identifying areas in need of refinement. To emphasize its exclusivity, the Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR features a customizable watermark, allowing users to denote that their media was captured with this distinctive foldable smartphone.
HONOR’s Scratch-Resistant NanoCrystal Shield Screen Glass
In another collaborative effort with Porsche Design, HONOR introduces the scratch-resistant NanoCrystal Shield screen glass at MWC 2024. Applied to both the Magic V2 RSR and the upcoming Magic6 and Magic6 PRO smartphones, this innovative screen protection technology utilizes silicon nitride coating to ensure durability. Drawing inspiration from materials used in the automotive industry, the NanoCrystal Shield can withstand abrasions from rough surfaces such as asphalt roads and quartz sandpaper, ensuring the screen remains pristine even under demanding conditions.
HONOR Reveals Magic6 Pro AI Smartphone at MWC 2024
Also making its debut at MWC 2024 is the HONOR Magic6 Pro, featuring a sleek design crafted from black velvet matte glass and green ripple classic leather. Running on Magic 8.0, the latest iteration of its Android-based operating system, the Magic6 Pro introduces new AI functionalities including Magic Capsule and Magic Portal. These features streamline user interactions by providing relevant information and context-sensitive actions, enhancing the overall user experience.
Equipped with AI-powered cameras inspired by Porsche Design smartphones, the Magic6 Pro boasts the HONOR Falcon Camera and Motion Sensing Capture technology, enabling users to capture decisive moments with precision even in dynamic situations. Incorporating elements from the automotive industry, HONOR introduces a silicon-carbon battery to the Magic6 Pro, delivering extended usage without overheating and rapid charging capabilities.
HONOR’s New MagicBook Laptop and Pad Tablet
Highlighting the theme of artificial intelligence, HONOR introduces the HONOR MagicBook Pro 16, an AI-powered laptop designed to seamlessly integrate with HONOR smartphones, PCs, and tablets, creating a cohesive and efficient workspace. Additionally, HONOR launches the HONOR Pad 9, featuring a 12.1-inch 2.5K HONOR FullView Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an immersive eight-speaker audio system, delivering an unparalleled multimedia experience.
Innovation and collaboration take center stage at MWC 2024 as HONOR and Porsche Design redefine the boundaries of smartphone technology, setting a new standard for performance, design, and user experience.
