French company Exod introduced the Air Station POD-01, a portable inflatable housing solution inspired by kite-surfing tech. This innovative home can be set up in just five minutes and fits up to four people comfortably. Unlike regular tents, the POD-01 uses air for support, making setup hassle-free.
The POD-01 is now available for pre-order and is an upgrade from Exod’s previous inflatable designs. This roomy shelter is great for camping trips, using inflatable tubes for its frame. These tubes become very sturdy at just 0.5 bar (7 PSI) of pressure, achievable with a hand pump in five minutes. Packing up the POD-01 is just as quick as setting it up.
Once inflated, the POD-01 offers 4.2 square meters of floor space with 5-foot-high walls, large screened openings, and windows for great views. Storage modules can be added to the air beams to keep the floor clutter-free.
When deflated, the POD-01 fits into a carry bag measuring 10 x 14 x 25 inches and weighing around 18.7 pounds, perfect for car campers. Available in black or white, the POD-01 is currently on sale for early buyers. The first 10 units are priced at $1,843, with later batches increasing in price until reaching the retail price of $2,710.
