To check your frame rate (FPS) on a PC, you can use several methods:

      1. Using In-Game Tools

      • Most Games: Many games have built-in options to display FPS. You can typically find it in the settings under “Video” or “Display.” Check the box that says “Show FPS” or similar.
      • Steam Games: If you’re playing on Steam, you can enable an FPS counter through the Steam overlay:
        1. Open Steam.
        2. Go to Steam > Settings > In-Game.
        3. Enable the In-Game FPS counter and choose its position on the screen.

      2. NVIDIA GeForce Experience (for NVIDIA GPU users)

      • If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you can use GeForce Experience to show the FPS counter:
        1. Open GeForce Experience.
        2. Click on the Settings icon.
        3. In the General tab, scroll down to the In-Game Overlay section and enable it.
        4. Open the overlay by pressing Alt + Z.
        5. Go to Performance and enable FPS.

      3. AMD Radeon Software (for AMD GPU users)

      • If you have an AMD graphics card, follow these steps:
        1. Open AMD Radeon Software.
        2. Go to the Performance tab.
        3. Choose the Overlay option and enable the FPS counter.

      4. Third-Party Software

      • Fraps: A classic tool that displays your FPS on-screen during gameplay.
      • MSI Afterburner: A popular option that also lets you monitor CPU and GPU temperatures, clock speeds, and more.
        1. Download and install MSI Afterburner.
        2. Go to Settings.
        3. In the Monitoring tab, select Framerate and check Show in On-Screen Display.
      • RivaTuner: Often bundled with MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner allows you to customize how the FPS counter appears on-screen.

      5. Windows Xbox Game Bar

      • Press Windows + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
      • In the Performance section, you can view the FPS along with other system metrics. If you don’t see the performance tab, go to the overlay settings and enable it.

These methods should give you real-time frame rate information while playing games or using graphic-intensive applications.
