Figma is a popular web-based design tool used for user interface and user experience design, prototyping, and collaboration. If you want to crop a shape in Figma, you might be referring to clipping or masking a shape.

      How you can achieve this:

      Clipping a Shape:

      1. Create a Shape:
        • Select the “Rectangle,” “Ellipse,” or any other shape tool from the toolbar.
        • Draw the shape on the canvas.
      2. Create the Mask:
        • Draw another shape (e.g., rectangle) that will act as the mask.
        • Position the mask over the area you want to keep.
      3. Select Both Shapes:
        • Hold down the Shift key and click on both the shape and the mask to select them.
      4. Apply Clip:
        • Right-click on one of the selected shapes.
        • Choose “Use as Mask” or “Create Mask” from the context menu.

      Masking a Shape:

      1. Create a Shape:
        • Draw the shape you want to mask on the canvas.
      2. Import an Image or Another Shape:
        • Import or draw the image or shape that you want to use as a mask.
      3. Position the Mask:
        • Place the mask over the shape you want to mask. The parts of the shape outside the mask will be hidden.
      4. Select Both Shapes:
        • Hold down the Shift key and click on both the shape and the mask to select them.
      5. Apply Mask:
        • Right-click on one of the selected shapes.
        • Choose “Mask” from the context menu.

      Cropping an Image:

If you are working with an image, you can also simulate cropping by using a mask or by adjusting the size and position of the image within a shape.

      1. Insert Image:
        • Insert an image onto the canvas.
      2. Create a Shape:
        • Draw a rectangle (or any shape) over the image, covering the area you want to keep.
      3. Position and Clip:
        • Move the image and the shape so that the shape acts as a frame for the cropped area.
        • Select both the image and the shape, then right-click and choose “Use as Mask” or “Create Mask.”
