EOS-X SPACE is getting ready to launch stratospheric flights from Spain and Abu Dhabi in 2025. The company’s founder and CEO, Kemel Kharbachi, shared that the team is almost done developing spaceship capsules and running validation tests with military pilots, in partnership with the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA). As Europe’s leading space exploration company, EOS-X SPACE plans to start operations from its Seville headquarters and Abu Dhabi by the third quarter of 2025. The project was first revealed in September 2020.
The spaceship capsules by EOS-X SPACE can carry up to eight people, including the pilot, in pressurized comfort. These capsules are connected to a helium balloon that lifts them from the Earth. The flights will launch just before dawn, reaching an altitude of 30 to 35 kilometers in about two hours. Once at the edge of the stratosphere, at around 40,000 meters, passengers will enjoy two hours of stunning views before the helium balloon gently brings them back to Earth, landing softly on supportive legs.
The capsules have sleek designs with panoramic windows, ensuring each passenger has a clear view of the Earth below. Inside, there are ergonomic seats, a control panel showing flight information, a bathroom, and adjustable mood lighting. Ticket prices for these unique journeys range from €150,000 to €200,000.
In Spain, ticket holders will also have access to the SpaceHub Complex in La Isla de la Cartuja, Seville, where immersive experiences will be available. They will stay in a luxury hotel in Seville province, enjoying exclusive treatments and experiences as part of their space tourism package. Details for the Abu Dhabi flights and related experiences will be announced later.
EOS-X SPACE’s ambitious project aims to redefine space tourism by offering a mix of innovation, luxury, and adventure.
