Oppenheim Architecture and RIDGE have unveiled their latest project, the Banyan Tree Bimini Resort & Residences on the secluded island of Bimini in the Bahamas. This 750-acre development offers a luxurious lifestyle with pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. It includes 54 custom waterfront residences, a boutique hotel, and the exclusive Bonito Beach Club. The next phase will bring a superyacht marina, a golf course, and a clubhouse. Bimini, just 48 nautical miles from Miami, is easily accessible by various means of transportation.
RIDGE has teamed up with Oppenheim Architecture and Banyan Tree to bring this project to life. Led by Chad Oppenheim, the design team is known for its minimalist and environmentally friendly approach. Each waterfront residence will offer five custom layouts, private docks, beach access, and spacious indoor/outdoor areas. Owners can participate in a rental program managed by Banyan Tree, enjoying top-notch concierge services.
The boutique hotel, designed by Oppenheim Architecture and operated by Banyan Tree, will feature beachfront villas and overwater bungalows. Residents will have access to the Bonito Beach Club, offering dining, VIP services, private cabanas, yachting, and recreational experiences.
RIDGE is improving Bimini’s infrastructure, including water, sewage, and power facilities. They have also received approval for the redevelopment of South Bimini International Airport. Plans for a seaplane terminal with customs and immigration are in progress to simplify travel to the resort.
Rafael Reyes, owner and developer of RIDGE, said, “My goal has always been to create a top-notch team to elevate the island. Bimini, being close to the US, is a hidden gem for travelers. Life here is relaxed.”
Chad Oppenheim added, “Our goal is to blend with Bimini’s essence through design that integrates with the landscape. We aimed to capture the island’s beauty in our homes and bungalows.”
