In a feat of audacious architectural upcycling, a decommissioned Boeing 737 jet has found new life as an exclusive luxury villa perched dramatically atop a cliff on Bali’s famed Nyang Nyang Beach.
The brainchild of Geometrium Studio, the reimagined Private Jet Villa fuses elements of aviation with high-end tropical living. Set 150 meters above the pounding surf, the fuselage has been sculpturally inserted into the rugged clifftop, offering guests the surreal experience of dwelling within a modern airborne fossil.
Yet beyond its unconventional setting, the villa delivers all the trappings of indulgent beachside accommodation. Within the repurposed 100-square-meter cabin, the designers have deftly incorporated amenities like a kitchen-living space, two bedrooms and a winged terrace affording panoramic ocean views.
Despite the constraints of the aircraft’s cylindrical form, interactive outdoor areas have been seamlessly integrated – including an infinity pool cantilevered over the cliff face, sunken fire pits and even a helipad catering to a Mode of arrival befitting the jet-setting clientele.
Inside, the curvaceous cabin has been carefully reconfigured to evoke a light and airy feel. Soft natural tones and textures work in concert with circular geometries that echo the fuselage’s streamlined profile. Custom furniture solutions were developed to accommodate the lack of flat surfaces. Even environmental systems had to be reconceived, with discreet ventilation and climate control integrated into the metal structure.
Through feats of ingenious engineering, this former avionic workhouse has undergone a transformation as dramatic as any luxury jet-to-yacht conversion. But the Private Jet Villa represents far more than just expensive caprice – it is an imaginative study in repurposing that breathes new life into discarded objects.
