First introduced as a concept in 2021, the real-life model took center stage at this prestigious yachting event, captivating attendees with its remarkable features, including a robust 100 kW thrust enabling speeds of up to 10 knots, and the ability to gracefully ascend and descend at inclines of up to 45 degrees. The Super Sub submersible’s agility shines through in its ability to execute rapid banking turns, offering passengers a thrilling underwater adventure.

U-Boat Worx has always been synonymous with providing unobstructed views for its submersible passengers, and the Super Sub is no exception. Through its clear and fully acrylic pressure hull located at the front of the submersible, passengers are treated to unparalleled vistas of the underwater world. Under its intelligent assistance setting, the submersible boasts an auto-heading system, ensuring that the Super Sub maintains its chosen course or follows marine life effortlessly.

At the Monaco Yacht Show 2023, visitors have the unique opportunity to step inside the submersible and witness the pilot’s direct access to vital information through a touchscreen display in the cockpit. This sensor screen continuously receives updates from the surface, empowering the pilot with real-time data during their underwater journeys.

An exceptional safety feature of the Super Sub is its ‘maximum depth protection,’ which acts as a fail-safe mechanism preventing the submersible from descending beyond its safe operating depth. Should such an event occur, the vessel will automatically ascend until it returns within the designated depth limits.

Adding an extra layer of safety, U-Boat Worx incorporates a Safety Buoy system on all their submersibles, including the Super Sub. This buoy serves as a locator when the vessel resurfaces and assists in rapid ascent during emergencies. Furthermore, U-Boat Worx submersibles are fully stocked with supplies to sustain occupants for a minimum of 96 hours, providing ample provisions and life support in case they cannot resurface immediately.

The Super Sub showcased at the Monaco Yacht Show is slated for delivery by the end of 2023, with the next unit scheduled for delivery in October 2024. With a starting price of 5.2 million euros, the Super Sub is setting a new standard in underwater exploration.
