Rolls-Royce wanted their SUV, the Cullinan, to be effortless everywhere. Launched in 2018, it quickly became their most popular model, known for its smooth ride on any terrain. We went to Ibiza to test the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, a luxury SUV that takes things up a notch.
The Series II of the Cullinan has subtle design updates but keeps the powerful 6.75-liter V12 engine for a silky ride. The focus was on the design changes that enhance its presence.
Juliane Blais, Head of Exterior Design at Rolls-Royce, called the Series II a piece of art. The facelift emphasizes height, with redesigned daytime running lights and a refreshed Pantheon grille.
The side profile has a clean look with a line from the taillight to the rear wheels. The rear is lifted subtly with black valance surfaces and stainless steel exhausts. Blais mentioned that these lines give the Cullinan a modern look.
The SUV’s presence is further enhanced by the larger 23-inch wheels. Blais believes bigger wheels are better for cars, hinting at a slight improvement in performance.
Inside, the Cullinan Series II is luxurious and high-tech. The interior features a new glass fascia and the advanced SPIRIT operating system. The illuminated panel can be customized with laser-etched dots forming a cityscape.
New materials like Grey Stained Ash and Duality Twill fabric give the interior a modern touch. The Duality Twill fabric, with up to 2.2 million stitches, offers a fresh look.
The Place Perforation technique adds a dynamic pattern to the leather interior. The Cullinan Series II sets the standard for luxury SUVs with its refined design and bespoke interior.
