The retro gaming handheld market has boomed recently, with Anbernic releasing a lineup of gaming devices like the RG35XX H, RG353P, RG35XXSP, and RG556. They’ve now added the RG Cube, powered by a Unisoc T820 processor, capable of running Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast games, as well as select titles from PS2, GameCube, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.
The RG Cube runs on Android 13, has a 3.95-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1:1 display ratio (720×720), an octa-core processor (up to 2.7 GHz), 8GB of RAM, and an 850MHz GPU. It offers 1080p resolution at 120fps and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB via MicroSD card.
Designed for long gaming sessions, the RG Cube has a 5200mAh battery lasting up to 7 hours, an in-built fan for cooling, RGB lighting effects, gyroscope sensor, vibration motor, D-Pad, action buttons, shoulder triggers, Hall Effect joysticks, stereo speakers, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Anbernic hasn’t revealed the pricing or release date yet, but the RG Cube will come in Beige White, Radiant Purple, and Gray colors.
