Gocycle, the urban electric bike brand, has just unveiled its latest addition to the foldable e-bike lineup—the Gocycle CXi, a part of the Family Cargo model. This sleek and lightweight electric bike, weighing only 23 kg, is designed to fill a crucial gap in the market by catering to customers who seek a cargo bike without the cumbersome and heavy features.
Maintaining Gocycle’s distinctive design language and sleek identity, the CXi features a futuristic automotive-inspired design and incorporates a range of innovative, patented technologies in line with the brand’s OneDesignDNA philosophy. From the side-mounted Pitstopwheels to the F1-inspired monocoque chassis, enclosed Cleandrive drivetrain, internal cabling, and the Flofit handlebar, every detail is crafted to enhance the overall urban mobility experience.
The foldability and portability of the CXi ensure easy storage in tight urban spaces and effortless transportability with cars, boats, and motorhomes. It’s not just a bike; it’s a solution to the challenges of urban living.
One standout feature is the Flofit handlebar, available exclusively on the Halo Gocycle CX+ model. Described as ‘probably the most adjustable-for-comfort handlebar ever developed’ by Richard Thorpe, the founder of Gocycle, it offers unprecedented adjustability in reach, height, grip angle, and multiple hand positions—all neatly packaged and protected within the handlebar body.
The CXi is equipped with a 5-Speed Shimano Nexus hub belt drive, providing an extended gear range for carrying extra loads and ensuring a smooth ride on flat terrain. Gocycle’s patented Cleandrive integrated into the belt drive ensures rider protection, easy cleaning, and top-tier aesthetics.
The bold new WingPillar Frame design, built from Gocycle’s F1-inspired monocoque chassis DNA, is engineered with high-tech composite materials. Tested to meet high-load and safety standards (220 kg), the lightweight frame accommodates MIK child seats and accessories for versatile configurations.
Both the Gocycle CXi and CX+ models will be produced in limited quantities, positioning them among the most exclusive electric bikes globally. The CXi is expected to be priced from ÂŁ5,999 / €6,999 / $6,999, while the Halo CX+ version, featuring the Flofit handlebar, will start at ÂŁ6,999 / €7,999 / $7,999. Limited pre-orders are currently open at Gocycle’s official website, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to secure these cutting-edge electric bikes.
