Italian coachbuilder Castagna Milano revealed a new version of the Fiat Topolino electric car, called the Fiat Topolino Spiaggina. Inspired by the iconic Fiat 500 Jolly from the 1950s, this chic vehicle is perfect for cruising by the sea. The original Fiat 500 Jolly was designed as an open-air version of the 500 for Fiat CEO Gianni Agnelli’s yacht.
The Fiat 500 Jolly by Ghia had a striped canvas roof and unique wicker seats, becoming a cult favorite and inspiring other beach cars like the Vignale Gamine and the Bonacina Spiaggina with their rattan seats.
Castagna Milano’s Spiaggina adds a nautical touch with teak and chrome details and a striped canvas roof. The seats, while not real wicker, have a woven look reminiscent of past beach cars.
For those wanting more space, Castagna Milano offers an extended version of the Spiaggina, adding 30 centimeters for a roomier rear deck and storage.
The Fiat Topolino Spiaggina is Castagna Milano’s smallest creation yet, continuing their line of open-air conversions for modern Fiat 500s and Minis. This mix of classic beach car charm and modern electric mobility is sure to appeal to design and car fans.
