Swedish electric hydrofoil boat maker Candela has started delivering the first models of its highly anticipated Candela C-8 Polestar edition. The boats have a sleek design with solid grey hulls and striking gold hydrofoils, making them eye-catching. The partnership between Candela and Polestar, which began in 2023, brought innovation to electric mobility on water. Polestar provides batteries and charging technology for the C-8, enhancing its performance.
The boat features marine-certified textiles throughout, including seats, cushions, sunbeds, and panels. The tailored upholstery adds to the comfort of the boat, ensuring a pleasant cruise experience. With a 69-kWh battery and charging hardware from the Polestar 2, the C-8 offers impressive performance, reaching up to 57 nautical miles on a single charge and cruising at speeds of 22 knots. Its 75 kW electric motor, combined with the gold hydrofoils, allows for smooth gliding above the water, offering a longer high-speed range compared to traditional electric speedboats.
The Candela C-8 Polestar edition is known for its design and efficiency. The electric motor and advanced computer technology make it energy-efficient, creating minimal waves and noise. Available for purchase online through the Polestar Additionals webshop, the C-8 Polestar edition starts at 400,000 EUR. Manufactured in Candela’s Stockholm factory, deliveries are already underway.
