Handheld PCs have been around for a while, but now they’re gaining popularity. Many companies are making these gaming devices, but some designs are starting to look the same. Computex 2024 introduced new and unique designs, like the one from ADATA XPG, which is bringing improvements to handheld gaming.
Handheld PCs are like mini laptops but with less powerful cooling systems. ADATA’s XPG Nia is a handheld PC that allows users to upgrade the RAM, thanks to the LPCAMM2 memory module. This innovation lets users enhance the device’s memory, unlike most handheld PCs where the RAM is fixed. The XPG Nia also allows for storage upgrades through a standard M.2 2230 SSD slot, improving the device’s longevity.
The ADATA XPG Nia has a tilting screen for comfort and a built-in kickstand, making it more user-friendly. It also includes a front-facing camera for eye-tracking and video chat, features that enhance the device’s usability.
Despite its promising features, the ADATA XPG Nia is not yet available for purchase. The prototype showcased at Computex is set for release in 2025, giving time for potential changes. This delay also gives competitors an opportunity to shine before the XPG Nia is released.
